Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field.
- 1+ years of teaching experience in math or experience in a college-level tutoring center.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
- Access to reliable internet and a quiet workspace.
- Mastery of SAT and ACT Math topics including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
- Ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans using real-world examples.
Responsibilities
- Instruct small “core” groups of students in their math core skills to promote long-term understanding.
- Track student progress through the curriculum and engage them in individualized growth opportunities.
- Model professionalism by maintaining and updating student lesson schedules on an online platform.
- Maintain accountability for student assignments and communicate promptly.
- Spearhead the development and execution of lesson plans and curriculum.
- Mentor middle and high school students through the competitive college application process.
