Requirements
- Heavy background in running large-scale distributed applications in the cloud.
- Strong grasp of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Proven ability to use Linux tools to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
- Extensive experience with monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., Grafana).
- Experience managing Big Data stacks (e.g., Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, Databricks).
- Capacity to recognize and prioritize technical challenges for effective resolution.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the core infrastructure platform and standard building blocks for developer code deployment.
- Identify and solve common bottlenecks for engineering teams through structured, consistent approaches.
- Own platform SLAs, ensuring the infrastructure is secure, available, and scalable.
- Bridge the gap between high-level infrastructure and business requirements as the technical go-to person.
- Analyze incident trends to address root causes and drive performance improvements.
- Lead architecture design sessions to ensure system resilience.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment operations.
- Mentor team members and share best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
