Experience
Associate degree and two years of experience; or high school diploma plus four years of experience; plus an additional one year of progressive experience in functional area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); OR associate degree and 2 years of experience in functional area; OR high school diploma and 4 years of experience.
  • Additional 1 year of progressive experience in functional area.
  • Demonstrated experience with Non-QM mortgage loan products and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and investor guidelines for wholesale channels.
  • Working knowledge of compliance regulations governing mortgage lending and loan processing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with loan origination systems (LOS); Encompass preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential risks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak confidently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication between approved brokers and the Quontic wholesale team to meet closing deadlines.
  • Collect and organize necessary documentation, including P&Ls, VOEs, bank statements, and other financial records.
  • Maintain regular updates on loan status with loan officers, brokers, and third-party vendors.
  • Document, organize, and track all loan files in the loan origination system per bank policies.
  • Prepare and submit loan packages to underwriting, addressing conditions and issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local lending regulations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in loan files to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Support and mentor junior loan processors to foster professional development.
