Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big Four preferred) and industry experience.
  • Expertise in US GAAP, accrual accounting, and internal controls.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge: ASC 350-40 (capitalized software), ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 606/340-40 (capitalized commissions).
  • Extensive experience with intercompany accounting, multi-currency consolidation (ASC 810, ASC 830), and FX processes.
  • Proven experience managing audits and interacting with external auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Suite and NetSuite.
  • Hands-on experience with GL design, system integrations, and data flows.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools like FloQast, Expensify, and Zip, or similar.
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for accounting workflows.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams across different time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate global month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate reporting under US GAAP.
  • Oversee month-end accruals, operating expense accounting, reconciliations, and flux analyses.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and multi-currency consolidation, including FX translation and elimination entries.
  • Ensure GL design integrity and oversee system integrations, troubleshooting data flows as needed.
  • Lead initiatives for accounting automation, standardization, and workflow optimization, including AI adoption.
  • Partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and operational teams to support proper accounting treatment and business initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop the corporate accounting team to foster a high-performing culture.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external audits and prepare financial statements and footnotes.
