- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in medical collection, or 7+ years of medical records collection experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience reviewing high volume, complex medical records.
- Proficiency with multiple technology platforms.
- Comfort dealing with sensitive topics.
- Impeccable attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Receptive to close coaching and feedback.
- Passion for making patient-centric, innovative healthcare accessible.
Responsibilities
- Collect and organize medical records for member families seeking virtual Expert Consultations and Remote Second Opinions.
- Work to create efficiencies in the medical records collection process.
- Communicate with medical offices, hospitals, and laboratories by phone, email, and fax.
- Identify missing records required for Expert Consultations or Remote Second Opinions.
- Maintain the confidentiality of personal health information.
- Train other Medical Records Specialists as needed.
- Demonstrate empathy and kindness in all interactions.
