Requirements
- Active in scope Secret clearance (must hold prior to start).
- US Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years, or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with HPC resource managers like Slurm or PBS Pro (preferred).
- Experience supporting a scientific userbase (preferred).
- Application installation or optimization experience on an HPC system (preferred).
- Experience working with MPI (preferred).
- Experience building software via CMAKE or Spack (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Install and verify user-requested software applications, including build environments, libraries, and containers.
- Assess and install software using various source code build and management systems.
- Collaborate with System Administrators and Tier 3 specialists to resolve software environment issues.
- Assist users in compiling, debugging, and executing custom-developed codes across various HPC node configurations.
- Identify and configure specialized research software to meet user requirements.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (ConOps), and workflows for ticket management.
