Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of business development experience in the site network space.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical research process, including phases I-IV.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience selling site network capabilities and services (preferred).
  • Prior leadership or people-management experience (preferred).
  • Background in Operations within clinical site networks (preferred).
  • Existing network within pharma, biotech, or CRO services (preferred).
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute business development strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, therapeutic areas, and partnership models.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Drive opportunity closure by understanding client buying criteria and decision-makers.
  • Support contract negotiations and pricing strategy for complex, multi-year engagements.
  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech companies, and CROs.
  • Represent Civia at industry conferences, client meetings, and strategic events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and finance to refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to sales process development.
