Requirements
- 3-5+ years of business development experience in the site network space.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the clinical research process, including phases I-IV.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Experience selling site network capabilities and services (preferred).
- Prior leadership or people-management experience (preferred).
- Background in Operations within clinical site networks (preferred).
- Existing network within pharma, biotech, or CRO services (preferred).
- MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own and execute business development strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify new market opportunities, therapeutic areas, and partnership models.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Drive opportunity closure by understanding client buying criteria and decision-makers.
- Support contract negotiations and pricing strategy for complex, multi-year engagements.
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech companies, and CROs.
- Represent Civia at industry conferences, client meetings, and strategic events.
- Collaborate with marketing and finance to refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
- Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to sales process development.
