Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in forecasting, demand or supply planning in hardware or electronics.
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing planners or analytical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience owning demand and/or supply forecasts for complex hardware portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data and tradeoffs into clear narratives for executive audiences.
  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Product, and Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and improve planning processes, including S&OP/IBP governance.
  • Growth mindset with willingness to experiment with new approaches to planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sustaining Demand and Supply Planning teams that own forecasts for all Samsara hardware products globally.
  • Collaborate with Product and NPI Planning to ensure a smooth handoff from new product introduction into sustaining.
  • Own the global demand forecasting process by consolidating signals from Sales, Product, Marketing, and historical performance.
  • Translate demand into executable supply plans in partnership with Supply Chain, Global Operations Engineering, and Fulfillment.
  • Own the refurbishment and RMA demand and supply forecast, collaborating with vendors on capacity, quality, and cost targets.
  • Run recurring forecast and supply reviews, communicating business trends and risks to senior leadership.
  • Establish and own key planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, and excess & obsolescence (E&O).
  • Drive process and systems improvements across forecasting, scenario modeling, and reporting using tools like Databricks, Tableau, and NetSuite.
  • Coach, develop, and scale a high-performing planning team while building strong cross-functional relationships.
