Requirements
- RN, bachelor’s or master’s degree in biological sciences or health-related field.
- 11+ years direct clinical operations experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Demonstrated experience in contract and budget negotiation with institutions.
- Strong proficiency in MS Word.
- Experience with Grant Plan for Investigators (GPI) or similar FMV assessment tools.
- Strong analytical and business communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment.
- Understanding of ESR processes from proposal submission through study close-out.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to implement processes to achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end negotiation, execution, amendment, and closeout of global ESR agreements, including Investigator-Sponsored Trials (ISTs) and Collaborative Research (CR) agreements.
- Develop, review, and negotiate ESR budgets to ensure alignment with protocol requirements, internal funding guidelines, and Fair Market Value (FMV) standards.
- Serve as the primary contracts liaison for Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, and Compliance to facilitate agreement execution and funding decisions.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate contract and budget terms, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure ESR contracting processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and transparency reporting requirements.
- Track and manage ESR contract lifecycle activities including milestones, payment schedules, and reporting obligations.
- Drive process improvements, standardization initiatives, and development of templates and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze ESR contracting metrics and operational performance indicators for leadership.
