Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users
- Proven track record of building AI-powered products (both as a manager and individual contributor)
- Demonstrated ability to tie product and engineering work to clear business impact
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team
- Strong ability to build and operate fast-moving teams that balance innovation with execution
- Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies
- Experience building large scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby (plus)
- Experience building & maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers (plus)
- Knowledge and experience in generative AI, RAG, and the fine-tuning process (plus)
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Figma’s developer offerings, including Dev Mode, MCP, Code Connect, and more
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions
- Define strategy & roadmap for your team and execute on that roadmap with a high degree of autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high performing engineers
