Requirements
- 5+ years of permitting/compliance experience with general contractor, retailer, or comparable paralegal experience.
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct municipal and regulatory code research for cross-functional teams.
- Support creation of municipal presentations and zoning exhibits for submissions.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to agencies with jurisdiction.
- Provide zoning site verification for real estate team to confirm property suitability.
- Facilitate permit application processes with architects, engineers, and expeditors.
- Maintain permit status tracking, schedules, and internal files.
- Communicate project timelines, status, and issues to stakeholders.
