Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering manager/director-related occupation.
- 5 years of experience leading and mentoring software engineers.
- 5 years of experience in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, security, and compliance teams.
- 2 years of experience with AWS services such as Dynamodb and Kinesis.
- 2 years of experience with Event-driven software architecture principles.
- 2 years of experience with Terraform, CircleCI, ArgoCD, AWS CloudFormation, Docker and Kubernetes.
- 2 years of experience with Datadog, GitHub Actions, PagerDuty and AWS CloudWatch.
- 2 years of experience with third-party vendor relationship management.
- 2 years of experience fostering a customer-centric engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as software engineering.
- Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
- Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of platform solutions using AWS services and databases like Postgres.
- Work closely with engineering and product leaders to identify use cases, define requirements, and drive technical decisions.
- Mentor engineers at all levels, providing guidance on career development and technical skills.
- Ensure platform infrastructure meets high standards for reliability, availability, and performance.
