Requirements

6+ years of service design and/or design strategy experience.
2 years of experience at a senior or staff level.
Direct experience working in government services, public policy, civic tech, or social impact design.
Demonstrated ability to design, test, implement, and measure complex multi-channel experiences.
Portfolio of service design work outlining process, deliverables, and impact.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives and complex workstreams.
Experience mentoring designers and communicating design value to stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile software development environment.

Responsibilities

Independently lead service design execution across multiple large and complex projects or workstreams.
Map current and future states of end-to-end, front-to-back, and multi-modal user experiences.
Document service interventions using journey maps, service blueprints, system diagrams, and ecosystem maps.
Design and facilitate collaborative workshops with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment.
Mentor junior designers and champion human-centered design best practices across the organization.
Partner with engineering, research, product, and data science disciplines to create practical solutions.
Define impact metrics for service interventions to align with stakeholder goals.
