Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or account management.
- Must hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation.
- Proven experience with ACE or similar data analytics tools.
- Ability to articulate and translate complex regulatory concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience pioneering or integrating emerging technologies into operations.
- Self-starter with a focus on detail and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on deliverable tracking and risk flagging.
- Experience liaising with government agencies such as CBP, CBSA, and PGAs.
- Background in specialized programs such as AD/CVD, C-TPAT/PIP, duty drawback, and FTAs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a knowledge leader in customs compliance and escalation point for internal stakeholders including Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
- Supervise a remote team of Broker Partner Success (BPS) and Post-Entry Analysts, including managing coverage plans to ensure business continuity.
- Support pre- and post-entry activities such as coordinating with importers and brokers for clearance, exception management, audits, and invoice escalations.
- Manage PSCs/protests in the US and corrections/adjustments in Canada.
- Facilitate regular meetings with broker partners and ABI users to ensure platform value.
- Oversee data alignment, customs tracking, and guidance on tariff changes, duty drawback, ACE reporting, and analytics.
