Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer service experience at a financial institution or 18 months of Mountain America Credit Union member service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize over 30 distinct computer systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows-based operating systems, internet browsers, and email.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to de-escalate calls.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to multitask and type notes while actively engaged in phone conversations.
  • Knowledge of internet security protocols and best practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new fraud trends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary phone support for members and internal departments regarding fraud inquiries.
  • File fraud affidavits and card claims using the Quavo system.
  • Resolve card and online banking alerts, including placing or removing account restrictions.
  • Conduct member interviews concerning check issues, Zelle transactions, and account transfers.
  • Support business units with identity verification and Red Flags concerns.
  • Log CRM complaints and submit SAR/UAR referrals as required.
  • Communicate fraud trends and process improvement feedback to management.
