Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting and/or audit experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience leading month-end close in a high-growth environment.
- Public accounting (Big 4 or large firm) or in-house experience at a high-growth/pre-IPO company.
- History of utilizing LLMs (e.g., Claude) to automate processes.
- Track record of coaching and developing accounting talent.
- Hands-on experience with Netsuite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of four accountants, providing coaching and feedback.
- Lead automation of accounting workflows using AI and LLMs for processes like journal entries and reconciliations.
- Own end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses.
- Conduct technical accounting research and document accounting positions under US GAAP.
- Coordinate annual audit tasks and PBC requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee payroll and scale operations.
- Drive process improvements utilizing tools like Netsuite, Workday, and Ramp.
