Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Deep experience in SEC reporting (Regs S-X and S-K), including ownership of 10-Ks/10-Qs in a public company.
- Strong foundation in US GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience with Workiva (required) and NetSuite (preferred).
- Public company reporting experience is required.
- Mix of public company and Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and work independently across teams and time zones.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and timely filing of SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and proxy statements.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations (Regs S-X and S-K), and XBRL tagging.
- Prepare or review supporting schedules, disclosure checklists, and tie-out documentation for financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
- Maintain the reporting calendar and coordinate the review process with legal, internal stakeholders, and external auditors.
- Drive continuous improvement in the reporting function and help establish SOX-compliant internal controls.
- Research new accounting standards and SEC requirements to provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Support investor reports, Audit Committee materials, and regulatory inquiries.
