Requirements
- Current or recent clinical coding certification: CPC (AAPC), RHIT, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on clinical coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Understanding of coding audit processes and quality improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging, interactive training sessions in live virtual and in-person formats.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Experience developing training materials such as guides, job aids, and reference documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with virtual training tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to navigate and explain platform-based workflows and reporting features.
- Strong commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate live virtual and in-person training sessions for customers on clinical coding, data retrieval, and analytics.
- Design and deliver role-specific training tailored to individual customer team structures and workflows.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching regarding platform functionality and coding standards.
- Partner with Learning and Development teams to develop facilitator guides, job aids, and knowledge assessments.
- Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to ensure training materials align with platform updates.
- Analyze customer performance trends and audit results to identify and address re-education needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical coding guidelines and retrieval workflows.
