Requirements
- 3+ years managing software engineers with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining talent.
- 10+ years of industry experience building developer-facing tools, open source software, or data-intensive systems.
- Proven experience driving execution in ambiguous environments and setting clear priorities.
- Hands-on experience reviewing code, guiding technical design, and providing technical feedback.
- Strong track record of collaboration with open source communities.
- Experience with external representation such as talks, blog posts, community engagement, or partner development.
- Strong product ownership mindset and customer-centric approach.
- Startup experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-bar team, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement.
- Set technical direction and shape product strategy for language clients to support rapid scaling.
- Establish measurable UX and developer experience benchmarks for client libraries.
- Lead the expansion of the ecosystem from core client libraries into integrations, SDKs, partner tooling, and community-built extensions.
- Build productive relationships with product, developer relations, and sales engineering stakeholders.
- Represent ClickHouse externally at conferences, in community forums, and with partners.
