Requirements
- Significant experience leading engineering organisations in a modern B2B SaaS, platform, or product company.
- Proven track record of leading through scale, ambiguity, and change.
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to guide architecture, quality, and execution.
- Experience building healthy organisations through other leaders, including coaching engineering managers and senior engineers.
- Ability to partner deeply with Product and Design.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a model where business context, user value, and engineering execution are tightly connected.
- A bias for clarity, pragmatism, and high standards.
- Confidence making hard trade-offs between simplicity, investment, and team focus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow engineering teams through managers and senior individual contributors, creating clarity, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering leaders to turn strategy into execution across a complex, cross-product area.
- Set engineering direction that balances speed, quality, and long-term scalability.
- Raise the bar on engineering excellence, operational health, and delivery rigour.
- Help teams ship capabilities including guest recognition, personalised experiences, automation, role-aware workflows, and connected guest journeys.
- Drive strong cross-tribe and cross-division collaboration.
- Coach leaders to make sound decisions, reduce unnecessary complexity, and build teams that can move fast.
