Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years of successful sales experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Office Supplies including facility, breakroom, technology, business furniture, and print products.
  • 4-6 years of experience in consultative, solutions, and insight selling, negotiation, and advanced client management.
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office and basic software tools.
  • Proven track record of managing programs or business development.
  • Ability to interface at customer senior executive levels.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a large, complex company.
  • Prior account management and prospecting experience with Fortune 1000 accounts.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for a sales budget and track record of exceeding quota.

Responsibilities

  • Drive account growth and profitability through incremental and renewal contractual commitments.
  • Map and execute account growth strategies by coordinating with internal category experts and sales teams.
  • Utilize CRM (SFDC) and internal tools to prioritize activities and document customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management on discretionary pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Engage with senior executive team members within the customer base to maintain business relationships.
  • Analyze customer data and industry trends to align Staples solutions with customer initiatives.
  • Lead complex deal shaping and cross-functional team selling efforts.
