Requirements
- 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple U.S.-based clients simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience supporting service-based industries such as construction, HVAC, plumbing, or landscaping.
- Proven history of long-term employment (3+ years with previous employers preferred).
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop / Enterprise.
- Proficiency in AP & Expense Management tools like Ramp and Bill.com.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Gusto, ADP, or Paylocity.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and advanced formulas.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close processes across multiple client accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers.
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
- Process payroll and employee onboarding within payroll systems.
- Manage and submit U.S. state sales tax filings.
- Build custom reports and dashboards for business owners to analyze financial performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning initiatives.
- Document and improve accounting processes and workflows.
- Participate in daily check-ins with company leadership.
