Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements and running monthly closes.
- Strong command of US GAAP.
- Experience with CPG, FMCG, or food and beverage brands.
- Tech-savvy: advanced spreadsheet skills and experience building dashboards.
- Proficiency in Xero and Airtable.
- Ability to work with AI tools like Claude for process automation.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- CPA or local equivalent (nice to have).
- Experience with distributors like UNFI or KeHE (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare audit-ready and lender-ready financial statements with variance analysis.
- Manage distributor and retail deduction/chargeback workflows to recover cash.
- Analyze margins, COGS, and vendor spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Own sales tax, 1099 reporting, and internal controls.
- Design and maintain automated cloud-based dashboards and finance workflows.
