Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SBA lending, commercial lending, or small business finance.
- Proven track record of originating SBA 7(a) loans and consistently meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Established network of Centers of Influence (COIs) generating active referral opportunities.
- Strong relationships or industry exposure within healthcare, food & beverage, trade, or manufacturing sectors.
- Deep understanding of SBA lending guidelines, credit analysis, and loan structuring.
- Strong consultative sales, relationship-building, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with strong pipeline management and organizational discipline.
- Ability to thrive in a performance-driven, fast-paced lending environment.
Responsibilities
- Source, structure, and close SBA 7(a) loans up to $350,000, guiding borrowers through the full financing lifecycle.
- Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to achieve loan production and revenue goals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through direct prospecting and referral partnerships.
- Develop deep relationships with Centers of Influence, including CPAs, attorneys, brokers, financial advisors, and consultants.
- Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements to generate new business.
- Establish and grow strategic partnerships within key industries such as healthcare, food & beverage, trade, and manufacturing.
- Conduct preliminary credit analysis and collaborate with underwriting teams to structure viable loan requests.
- Ensure strong pipeline management, conversion rates, and a high-quality borrower experience from origination to closing.
