Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development and direct enterprise sales experience within the sports industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with sports teams and organizations such as Football, Basketball, and Rugby.
  • Proven track record managing large, strategic, or marquee accounts.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close.
  • Experience designing and implementing business development strategies.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English and Malay is required.
  • Experience in sports technology is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to meet and exceed all revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders across customer accounts.
  • Prospect and acquire new clients including teams, leagues, and federations.
  • Retain existing contracts and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Develop proposals, deliver product demonstrations, and negotiate contracts with key decision-makers.
  • Manage, collaborate with, and support referral partners and distributors.
  • Maintain CRM records and produce accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Identify revenue blockers and communicate them clearly to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Success, Product Support, Logistics, Finance, and Legal.
  • Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to develop strategies to win against competitors.
