Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or product engineering experience.
- 1–3 years of engineering management experience (hiring, 1:1s, performance).
- Track record as a principal-level engineer or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor and Claude.
- Strong understanding of OOP fundamentals with Java Spring Boot or Hibernate.
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML, LLMs, and RAG-based systems.
- Expertise in system design and architecture for complex projects.
- Proven troubleshooting, debugging, and SQL optimization skills.
- Experience designing and evaluating technical engineering interviews.
- Experience working in startup environments without rigid processes.
- Strong written and in-person communication skills.
- Ability to work in European timezone (CET/CEST).
Responsibilities
- Write code and deliver high-quality features (initial balance 70% IC, 10–20% long-term).
- Design and execute technical hiring processes including challenges and screening.
- Perform 1:1 coaching focused on output, quality, and AI efficiency.
- Own system design, technical specifications, and architecture for major product projects.
- Scale product architecture for mid-market and enterprise requirements including RBAC.
- Advance AI-driven backend architecture for compliance and agentic workflows.
- Promote AI-assisted engineering best practices within the team.
