Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., or Ph.D.) in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a field-based liaison in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in managed care, PBM, or related HEOR environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health economics methodology (cost-effectiveness, budget impact, QALYs).
- Strong understanding of the US payer landscape, formulary management, and reimbursement.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel 50–70% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with HCDMs including MCOs, PBMs, IDNs, and ACOs.
- Deliver scientifically rigorous presentations on clinical data, real-world evidence, and budget impact analyses.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from payer stakeholders.
- Support the design and execution of field-based observational studies and pharmacoeconomic research.
- Contribute to publications, posters, and abstracts for scientific meetings.
- Synthesize and communicate payer landscape intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Provide training on disease state and health economics topics to commercial teams.
- Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons and global teams to align medical strategy.
