Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, and accounting operations management.
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end close processes within multi-entity, multi-location, or complex operating environments.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth organizations with evolving operational needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a strategic mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in public accounting, particularly with a Big Four or national accounting firm, is advantageous.
- Experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, franchise, or other multi-unit business environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with acquisitions, integrations, ERP systems, accounting automation tools, and financial reporting platforms is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete reporting across multiple entities and locations.
- Prepare, review, and oversee consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting reconciliations.
- Develop executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and financial analyses that provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
- Oversee core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, treasury support, and general ledger activities.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance frameworks to support organizational growth and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate annual audits, manage audit preparation activities, and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors on compliance and reporting matters.
- Drive accounting transformation initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, improving workflows, and supporting ERP and financial systems optimization.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, acquisition integrations, and accounting standardization efforts across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and operational excellence.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and support strategic business objectives.
