Requirements
- BA/BS or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification.
- Experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- 6+ years (with Master’s degree) or 8+ years (with Bachelor’s degree) of related experience.
- Experience in public accounting or mid-to-large sized tech/high-growth companies.
- Strong project management skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience with Workday Financial Management and/or Zuora (subscription billing software).
- Proficiency with Google Suite applications.
- Experience mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Build accounting and internal control processes for new and evolving business aspects including new revenue products.
- Ensure SOX readiness.
- Work with IT and Revenue Product owners to provide mentorship on revenue accounting needs.
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting to vet revenue accounting requirements.
- Assist with month-end close process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Serve as a team lead on revenue accounting topics.
- Drive process improvement projects to streamline and automate manual workflows.
- Manage open accounting issues and questions to support project delivery.
