Requirements
- 5-10 years of professional experience in related roles
- Proven experience with rigorous quantitative analysis and cost-effectiveness modeling
- Track record of owning large budgets or grant portfolios
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders (funders, NGOs, research organizations)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience setting and iterating on strategy in complex environments
- Experience in funding, building, or scaling new programs/initiatives
- Research mindset with ability to analyze empirical evidence under uncertainty
Responsibilities
- Lead grantmaking portfolio strategy
- Identify and evaluate high-impact funding opportunities
- Perform rigorous review of empirical evidence and cost-effectiveness modeling
- Manage grantee relationships and perform ground-truthing of program delivery
- Collaborate with subject matter experts
- Communicate research and grant decisions externally
- Mentor and advise other team members
- Collaborate with Senior Researchers to incorporate analysis into decisions
