Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction or finishing industry
- Advanced CostX proficiency including digital take-offs, dimension groups and workbooks
- Experience using Simpro or similar job management software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Experience interpreting architectural drawings and finish schedules
- Understanding of construction materials, finishes, and installation processes
- Demonstrated experience preparing quotes for large projects ($50,000 to $5M+)
- Experience preparing estimates for Australian construction projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Australian building terminology, documentation standards, and construction practices
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review architectural plans, specifications, and project documentation
- Identify and interpret finish schedules and wall finish requirements
- Complete accurate take-offs and measurements using CostX software
- Produce 3D renders and visual references to guide onsite teams
- Assist in preparing accurate project quotations and cost estimates
- Identify comparable or alternative finishes where substitutions are required
- Review tender packages and identify missing information and scope risks
- Prepare tender clarifications and RFIs
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
