Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
- Proven experience in SMP (structural, mechanical, and piping) estimating.
- Experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry projects.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and P&IDs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating workbooks.
- Experience with document management systems like SharePoint.
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural, mechanical, piping, and industrial projects.
- Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Manage multiple concurrent RFQs while maintaining accuracy.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams for estimate reviews.
- Maintain records of estimates, assumptions, and supplier quotations.
- Refine estimating methodologies and pricing databases.
