Requirements
- 8+ years of experience managing engineers in platform, infrastructure, or data teams
- Proven ability to develop, mentor, and retain engineering talent
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure also relevant)
- Experience designing and operating Kubernetes-based environments
- Knowledge of data engineering fundamentals and data warehouse modeling
- Understanding of backend systems and scalable distributed architectures
- Ability to review infrastructure-as-code and guide architecture trade-offs
- Excellent English skills
- Must be based in Europe
Responsibilities
- Manage and support engineers across the Platform and Data Engineering teams
- Conduct regular 1:1s, mentor engineers, and support professional growth
- Facilitate technical discussions and architecture reviews
- Ensure high-quality engineering outcomes and best practices
- Identify and resolve blockers, surface risks, and maintain team productivity
- Contribute to company, department, and squad-level planning
- Participate in hiring and team growth
- Define and track success metrics like reliability and developer experience
