Requirements
- 5+ years of experience selling physical products through retail and distribution channels.
- Strong background in consumer electronics, connected devices, networking hardware, or smart home products.
- Deep understanding of retail buying cycles, channel strategy, and account development.
- Proven track record of opening new retail accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Established relationships with Canadian retailers, distributors, buyers, and merchandising teams.
- Experience managing both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce sales channels.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic account plans and negotiating agreements.
- Strong hunter mentality with ability to prospect independently.
- Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and periodically within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new retail opportunities across Canada.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams.
- Develop and execute account and channel growth strategies for brick-and-mortar and eCommerce.
- Own the sales process from outreach through onboarding, launch, and growth.
- Create annual business plans, conduct business reviews, and deliver executive-level presentations.
- Collaborate with retailers on advertising, promotions, pricing, and marketing programs.
- Develop sales forecasts and partner with Operations and Supply Chain to manage inventory.
- Manage co-op marketing investments and promotional programs.
- Partner cross-functionally to support retail initiatives and product launches.
- Represent Ooma at industry events and trade shows.
