- Build and run a distributed infrastructure organization of approximately 12 engineers, driving operational excellence, reliability, and accountability.
- Manage capital and operating budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations, and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
- Set technical direction across data centers, cloud environments, Linux, Kubernetes, networking, storage, observability, and network security.
- Build and maintain hardware platforms for sibling teams in Network Operations to deploy and upgrade products and services.
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to define, architect, and document infrastructure solutions, including SLAs, performance targets, scalability, and capacity planning.
- Develop team leads and evolve the team structure toward functional domains.
- Partner with Security and organizational leaders to define and enforce infrastructure security policies and standards, including patching and operating system upgrade cadences.
- Create strategic plans, roadmaps, and executive presentations connecting infrastructure investment to business outcomes.
- Own the 24/7/365 on-call escalation path and build an escalation model and on-call program.
- Champion automation, standardization, and modern infrastructure practices; explore AI applications for infrastructure operations and engineering efficiency.
