Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within food manufacturing, bakery, or direct sales environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong expertise in sales strategy development, pipeline management, and end-to-end direct sales processes.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform decision-making.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across sweet goods and bakery product categories, focusing on direct customer channels and long-term account expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects, ensuring deep understanding of their needs and delivering tailored commercial solutions.
- Identify new market opportunities through research, competitive analysis, and ongoing monitoring of industry trends to support business expansion.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance tracking tools to ensure alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure cohesive go-to-market strategies and customer alignment.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze results, and adjust strategies to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals and KPIs.
- Prepare regular reporting for senior leadership, highlighting performance insights, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Engage in customer meetings, industry events, and market visits with travel requirements up to 50%.
