Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in SaaS sales, account management, customer growth, renewals, or expansion-focused sales roles.
  • Demonstrated success managing existing customer relationships and closing upsell, cross-sell, or expansion opportunities.
  • Strong familiarity with fundraising, advancement, development, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, or healthcare foundations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders, including Vice Presidents, Chief Development Officers, and C-suite executives.
  • Experience conducting executive-level presentations, business reviews, and strategic account discussions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and consultative selling capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Customer Success teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or comparable systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, timelines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Drive account growth by identifying, developing, and closing expansion opportunities within an established customer portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders, including budget owners and organizational decision-makers.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to uncover growth opportunities, develop business cases, and align expansion strategies with customer objectives.
  • Participate in business reviews and strategic meetings to present value, demonstrate return on investment, and support account growth discussions.
  • Lead expansion conversations, proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and agreement execution.
  • Coordinate renewal activities alongside Customer Success teams, ensuring timely contract execution, stakeholder alignment, and smooth renewal processes.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal operational and contract management teams to ensure efficient handling of agreements, documentation, and administrative processes.
  • Monitor customer engagement, organizational changes, and emerging opportunities to proactively support long-term account success and retention.
