Requirements
- AAS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience as a Mechanical Designer.
- Hands-on experience with Revit.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2020 or later.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel) and BlueBeam Studio.
- Experience with HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design to NFPA standards.
- MEPFS design and drafting proficiency.
- Experience in residential/commercial retail design and calculations.
- Strong background in building construction and design.
- Ability to interact with colleagues, senior engineers, project managers, and construction personnel.
Responsibilities
- Converts moderately complex schematics and/or design sketches into engineering building details.
- Performs basic engineering activities such as calculations, code research, and material/building systems research.
- Prepares drawings following office standards.
- Attends team meetings to coordinate information with other professional disciplines.
- Supports other team members effectively.
- Improves timeliness of delivery without compromising quality.
- Utilizes industry best practices and established standards.
- Stays updated on design trends, building systems, and code changes.
- Completes administrative paperwork such as timesheets and expense reports.
