Requirements
- 5+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or pre-sales/consulting role.
- Experience building distributed data systems.
- Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
- Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science/Machine Learning (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow).
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence C/VP-level stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to customers in your region.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales team to provide technical leadership and solve business problems.
- Drive technical discovery and solution design for strategic accounts.
- Continuously research and learn new technologies on Databricks.
- Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts.
- Validate integrations with cloud services and 3rd party applications.
- Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects.
- Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
- Work with account executives on account penetration strategies.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders.
