Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science or business preferred
  • Seven plus years of relevant job experience
  • Experience in management and interdisciplinary team involvement
  • Experience in marketing or communications within a scientific setting
  • Management experience in pharma, biotech, medical communications, or healthcare agency preferred
  • Ability to quickly grasp and retain scientific and technical concepts
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Business development skills

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily management for assigned book of business
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with client(s) and stakeholders
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all levels
  • Oversee budgeting, financial monitoring, and reconciliation of individual projects
  • Pursue and acquire new business within current accounts by writing proposals
  • Hire and train account management staff
  • Update senior management on account team activity
  • Assign and manage account team workload
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within and between departments
