Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science or business preferred
- Seven plus years of relevant job experience
- Experience in management and interdisciplinary team involvement
- Experience in marketing or communications within a scientific setting
- Management experience in pharma, biotech, medical communications, or healthcare agency preferred
- Ability to quickly grasp and retain scientific and technical concepts
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong presentation skills
- Business development skills
Responsibilities
- Handle daily management for assigned book of business
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with client(s) and stakeholders
- Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all levels
- Oversee budgeting, financial monitoring, and reconciliation of individual projects
- Pursue and acquire new business within current accounts by writing proposals
- Hire and train account management staff
- Update senior management on account team activity
- Assign and manage account team workload
- Facilitate conflict resolution within and between departments
