Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture or engineering effectiveness roles.
- Demonstrated production deployment of AI-assisted development tooling.
- Deep experience with modern CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Hands-on experience with at least two AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
- Strong applied LLM knowledge (prompt design, RAG, evaluation harnesses).
- Experience designing controls for IP protection, security, and data exfiltration.
- Strong systems engineering background (APIs, distributed systems, cloud-native).
- Experience operating at portfolio scale across 10+ engineering teams.
- Proven track record influencing without authority.
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Define and operationalize the AI assisted engineering platform across the portfolio.
- Architect a model and vendor agnostic abstraction layer for AI tools.
- Establish standards, guardrails, and governance for AI usage including IP and security.
- Embed AI-driven capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead developer experience, enablement, and training for AI-assisted workflows.
- Measure ROI and tool effectiveness against DORA and productivity metrics.
- Evaluate and select vendor tools and manage enterprise strategy.
- Manage portfolio-wide AI tool rationalization and M&A integration.
- Own total cost of ownership for AI tooling including token and license spend.
- Mentor engineering teams and communicate architecture decisions to leadership.
