Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, health administration or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent.
- 10+ years experience in healthcare payer strategy or consulting in the payer contracting space.
- Deep understanding and experience with developing and negotiating payer contracts, particularly for Medicaid MCOs.
- Deep network and established relationships with Medicaid payers.
- Experience with successful value-based contracting for specialty services.
- Experience with early-stage startups.
- Proven record of exceeding sales quota and selling to C-level executives.
- Proficiency in Hubspot and Google Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%).
Responsibilities
- Leverage an established network within national and regional Medicaid MCOs to seed the sales pipeline.
- Conduct research into state-specific Medicaid landscapes to prioritize high-value targets.
- Own the end-to-end process of setting up high-level meetings with health plan executives.
- Partner with executive leadership to execute complex business development deals.
- Build and manage the foundational sales technology stack, including Hubspot CRM.
- Establish a formal sales playbook with lead qualification criteria.
- Lead contract strategy and negotiations to optimize partnership structure.
- Advise leadership on legislative trends impacting payer priorities.
