Requirements

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SQL or similar data querying tools
  • Solid understanding of utility markets, energy systems, demand response, or distributed energy resources
  • Ability to translate complex technical and commercial concepts into structured pricing strategies
  • Experience supporting deal desk functions, pricing governance, or enterprise sales teams
  • Strong communication skills for presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain advanced financial and pricing models for products, bundles, and multi-year utility contracts, ensuring alignment with business and margin objectives.
  • Develop “value stack” frameworks in collaboration with cross-functional teams to quantify and optimize pricing based on distributed energy resource benefits such as peak reduction and grid services.
  • Analyze utility tariffs, regulatory structures, and market filings to ensure competitive and compliant pricing strategies across different jurisdictions.
  • Lead deal structuring and scenario modeling for complex contracts, including performance-based incentives, volume pricing, and shared-savings arrangements.
  • Develop sensitivity and risk models to evaluate exposure under varying conditions such as weather patterns, grid demand, and participation rates.
  • Support Deal Desk processes by providing data-driven recommendations on pricing, concessions, and deal trade-offs.
  • Conduct post-deal performance analysis to identify pricing trends, improve forecasting accuracy, and optimize future commercial strategies.
  • Enhance pricing tools and processes by automating manual workflows and improving scalability of commercial analytics systems.
