Requirements
- Formal qualifications in electro-mechanical, electrical design, or related field.
- Up to five years machine troubleshooting experience with formal education, or seven years with high school diploma.
- Proficiency in Rockwell software and hardware.
- Proficiency in Indramat software and hardware.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skill set.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Ability to travel several weeks per year.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers to resolve equipment issues.
- Perform breakdown support including loading HMIs, drives, and PLCs.
- Provide programming changes with minimal supervision.
- VPN into customer machines remotely during second shift hours.
- Document issues and resolutions in the asset management system.
- Utilize ERP system to find parts and arrange shipments.
- Review customer data and react to alarms or machine downtime.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Communicate recommendations to the product line engineering team.
- Evaluate, implement, and test new technology.
