Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or technology company.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Sales and Use Tax, Global VAT/GST, and U.S. federal and state corporate income taxation.
- Hands-on experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of identifying issues and researching tax authority guidance.
- Effective communication skills.
- CPA or Master’s in Taxation (MST) (Preferred).
- Experience with technology or high-growth companies (Preferred).
- Working knowledge of international tax concepts including transfer pricing, Pillar Two/GloBE rules, and cross-border compliance (Preferred).
- Hands-on experience with tax technology platforms (e.g., Avalara, Vertex, OneSource, Alteryx) (Preferred).
Responsibilities
- Manage indirect tax compliance end-to-end—prepare, analyze, and monitor Sales and Use tax, VAT/GST, and other obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns.
- Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision process.
- Drive international tax workstreams including transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and cross-border compliance.
- Manage responses to tax authority notices and audits.
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end close workpapers, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Serve as the go-to technical resource for tax technology platforms.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve tax processes, documentation, and automation.
