Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in deployment management, release management, change management, or IT operations support
  • Strong experience with IT service management (ITSM)
  • Experience with software deployment coordination
  • Experience with release management processes
  • Experience within a federal government environment
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow (SNOW)
  • Proficiency in Jira
  • Proficiency in Power BI
  • Proficiency in Serena Business Manager (SBM)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate software deployment activities across development, pre-production, testing, and production environments.
  • Maintain continuous communication with VA Regional Offices and stakeholders regarding deployment schedules, release activities, and outages.
  • Coordinate monthly Integrated Releases using ITIL service transition processes and ServiceNow.
  • Create, update, and monitor Release records within ServiceNow to ensure compliance.
  • Associate and validate Change Requests within Release records.
  • Coordinate ASCEND release submissions and Change Requests for PRRCCB approvals.
  • Review software change requests and validate Application Turnover Transmittal (ATT) documentation.
  • Ensure deployment documentation, implementation plans, and rollback procedures are complete and compliant.
  • Coordinate pre-production installations and support regression testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve deployment issues and risks.
