Requirements

  • 7+ years of pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Track record of winning complex, high-value deals with sophisticated buying committees.
  • Experience selling into developer, platform, SRE, or engineering-led organizations.
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate with the C-suite.
  • Whiteboarding and solutioning skills.
  • Hands-on fluency across modern cloud environments, CSPs, containers, Kubernetes, distributed systems, API-driven architectures.
  • Strong working knowledge of observability, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort navigating code and implementation details across languages and frameworks.
  • Experience owning complex POCs and evaluations.
  • Ability to travel ~20% for customer engagements and internal collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical strategy on Honeycomb's largest, most complex deals, partnering with Strategic AEs and Sales Leadership across the region.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, and executive conversations that connect Honeycomb's platform to real engineering and business priorities.
  • Own the technical win, shape success criteria, guide POCs, and build stakeholder conviction.
  • Advise engineering leaders and executives on AI-era observability and modern operations.
  • Turn complex customer environments into clear architectures and solution narratives.
  • Get hands-on to instrument apps and unblock technical issues.
  • Build reusable technical assets, demos, and repeatable architectures.
  • Deliver demos, workshops, and presentations.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Product, and Engineering to sharpen go-to-market motions.
  • Mentor peers and model judgment and autonomy.
