Requirements
- Law degree from a reputable university/law school
- Admission to the bar in the country of residence
- 5+ years of experience in real estate law
- Focus on development and transactions
- 2 years in construction/real estate/disputes
- Property management experience
- Strong understanding of real estate development processes and regulations
- Ability to handle complex agreements and sophisticated procurement agreements
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- English and Portuguese proficiency
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of real estate development projects
- Handle land and property acquisition and due diligence
- Manage entitlement and permitting
- Draft and negotiate construction and design agreements
- Support financing and joint ventures
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, and construction contracts
- Manage and mitigate legal risks
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Collaborate with development, finance, and construction teams
- Interface with government agencies, lenders, and investors
