Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting, controllership, senior bookkeeping, or accounting management experience.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience supporting US-based businesses.
- Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to own accounting workflows.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to work US Central Time business hours.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Prior insurance brokerage or financial services experience preferred.
- CPA or equivalent credential preferred.
- Applied Epic experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate records of cash, receivables, payables, and commissions.
- Perform reconciliations and improve workflow visibility.
- Manage financial transactions across accounting and agency management systems.
- Support month-end close, financial review, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles.
- Standardize and document accounting processes and internal controls.
- Provide financial reporting to leadership to support decision-making.
- Support payroll, HR administration, and banking/vendor coordination.
