Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting, controllership, senior bookkeeping, or accounting management experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience supporting US-based businesses.
  • Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to own accounting workflows.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to work US Central Time business hours.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Prior insurance brokerage or financial services experience preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent credential preferred.
  • Applied Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate records of cash, receivables, payables, and commissions.
  • Perform reconciliations and improve workflow visibility.
  • Manage financial transactions across accounting and agency management systems.
  • Support month-end close, financial review, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles.
  • Standardize and document accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Provide financial reporting to leadership to support decision-making.
  • Support payroll, HR administration, and banking/vendor coordination.
