Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in a technology company (SaaS/data) or law firm representing tech clients.
- Proven experience negotiating SaaS, data licensing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
- Experience advising on data privacy and information security matters.
- Working knowledge of AI-related legal considerations (IP, regulatory, risk).
- Proficiency with contract management systems and legal technology tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Independently review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements (SaaS, DaaS, cloud, partnership, vendor).
- Partner with Sales and Revenue leadership to structure deals aligning with risk tolerance.
- Advise on data privacy and security laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
- Provide legal counsel on AI-enabled products, data usage rights, and AI governance frameworks.
- Leverage AI tools within Legal to improve contract lifecycle management and efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and processes.
- Develop training materials for internal stakeholders on contracting best practices.
